Tea Booms last cvoniug, when certificates for first aid' and home nursing' were presented. 'The certificates were pres'entc'cll 'by the Mayoress, who congratulated tire 'classes uipon their w.orlc and tire, success scored at the recent 'Wellington examinations. Dr. Sinclair was thanked for his services in lecturing and tutoring the first aid .classes and a. presentation was made to'*-Mr Shaw for Ms efforts on behalf of the class. 'Dr. 'Buist, Airs >C. J. Trotter and Miss Young were also thanked for their services to thh society. Deference was made to the services rendered .by iSister Ingles, Mr J. .'Cahill' making a. presentation of a bouquet, and a tribute was also paid to the efforts of Mrs Stevens (lion, secretary). Songs were rendered by Miss Boeehey, Miss Davies and Mr Erie Pa coy and Mr and Mrs h\r. B. Jones. A play reading, The 'Twelve 'Pound Look,” was presented by Mr» Strange, Miss Washer, Mr M. Gray and Mr W. G. Simpson.
