SCHOOLBOYS LACK DISCIPLINE
COM)PLAINT BY COMMITTEE (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Dec. I'7. Allegations of lack of discipline ait a school in the Auckland district were made in a letter received by the Ediucution Board from I 'the local school committee. The secretary of the. committee wrote: “I. am instructed by ‘the committee to again draw your attention to the serious ta'c-'k of .discipline at. this school. Big boys carry catapults, and already there have been three windows broken in passing motor cars. Complaints have been made t'o the headmaster, and to our knowledge be has taken no action to stop this practice. The boys are. also in the habit of smoking on the school grounds 1 am writing to the parents of the offending boys .asking flu- their ’co-operation in tin' matter, .but that is no good, as long as the present sit ate of affairs is tolererate.d. The comlmittee views with alarm the state of affairs and wishes to know what action can be ta'ken.
