THEFT AND BURGLARY
MAN SENT TO GAOL. (by Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 17. Thefts in various parts of the country were cleared up in the Magistrate’s Court to-day when Arthur Victor Jones, aged 22, labourer, pleaded guilty to two charges of breaking, entering and theft, and six charges of theft, the total value of the goods stolen being £sl 7s sd. Mr E. Page, S.M., said accused had a long list of convictions for thefts, and sentenced him to 12 months' hard labour on the charges of theft. On the two major charges accused was committed for sentence.
