In order to arrange a farewell for tv o popular school teachers, Mr. Matthews and Miss Lavery, of the Patea School, who are retiring on superannuation, a public meeting was held last week and it was arranged on the motion of Mr. Hemingway to make a presentation of an illuminated address to each of them at. a social to be held) on December Jo.
