BOXING.
DONOVAN THE WINNER. DEFEAT OF JOHNNIE HECKLE CBy Telegraph—'Press Association.) NAPIER, Nov. 30. Johnny Reekie (Napier) lost the featherweight title of New Zealand 1 to Tommy’ Donovan (Wuitara, Taranaki) when they met in. an excellent contest in Napier last night. Donovan’s aggressiveness' won; for him the title, as ho gave the Napier man little opportunity to box, and' in in-lighting the challenger was superior. Lcckici appeared to be stale and his movements were listless, most probably as a result of his having to take off weight. Donovan, too, had to reduce but he was very fit and made the pace throughout.
