MASTERTQN, Nov. 28. The Hawke Clip match, Wairarapaj and Manawatu, commenced this morning. The visitors went to the wickets first. At the luncheon adjournment they had lost four for 46. As the score indicates, run-getting was .slow. Both Massey (three for 18) and Hoar maintained excellent length during play over two hours. Disaster came to the-visitors in the early stages of the game when Massey, in his second over, clean bowled Broughton before lie had scored, and also in the following over when Falloon caught McVicar, also before he had scored. Norriss, just before the luncheon adjournment, i cocked up on and had a narrow escape. Details are as folow: MANAWATU.
