GUNFIRE AND FIGHTING GRAVE TROUBLE IN LIMA SEVERAL PERSONS EXECUTED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) NEW YORK, Nov. 26. Private advices from Lima state that there is grave trouble in the Peruvian capital, with constant fighting in the streets, and gunfire in parts of the city. Evidences of revolt were visible at various points m the interior. Several Americans were fatally, assaulted, by striking miners in the neighbourhood of several mines. The miners were reported to l h'a-ve •been led in their attacks -top a “white Peruvian woman named Grey,” who shouted for them to “Kill the Yankees and drink their blood.”

The authorities assert that the troubles are largely due to Communistic influence among the native miners or Serranos, who are invariably susceptible .to the influences of political Labour agitators.
