A pioneer settler of Hawera and Normanby, Mrs T. Ecclesfield, passed away yesterday, at the- age of 76 y r ears, in AVanganui. AA T ith her late husband she lived in this district for many years and was held in high regard by many, friends all over South Taranaki. She is survived by five daughters—Mesdames Adam Hannah (Hawera), Moore (Brisbane), Somerville (Taihape), Cross (Marten) and Stapleton (AVanganui). The funeral will take place from Mr Hannah’s residence to-morrow afternoon at 3 o’clock. Members of the Hawera Poultry Society and others interested are finally reminded! of an address, to be given this evening by Mr L. Cocker, Government poultry instructor. The meeting will be held in the Central Mart, Union Street, where the facilities available are most suitable for the exhibition and demonstration of birds. Mr Cocker will discourse on the general management of poultry and it is expected that there will" be a large attendance.
