Oct. 25. i he House of Representatives, which tad been awaiting the Council's decis|ions, resumed at 5.5 p.m. The amendments made by the Council in, the .Auckland City Council andi Motuihi Island Domain Board Empowering Bill, tho Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Amendment Bill, and the Destitute Bosons Amendment Bill were agreed to.
In a statement to the House Hon. G. Smith said lie wished to deny hat he had ever said he would see
that the Industrial Amendment Bfil would be put through,. He had promhsed, however, to introduce the Bill, •nd he had done this. The House adjourned at 5.30, and when it resumed at 8.50 the Sy.eakeir
announced that the Royal assent had been given to the Appropriation Act. j TV -o session was then, brought to a 'close.
