DANCE RECITAL
MI.-.'S JSLAYYN RILEY AND PUPILS. ..e, enteen years ago there came to ilawem a little girl who was destined to go tar m the dancing world —Miss Ehv.yn Riley, who resided here for several years. Her first appearance, at j the a_,e of three years, was in a carni.al being run for the local band. She t’lien entered Mrs. C'. Edwards’ wellknow*n school of dancing, where she made good progress. Leaving Hawera at the age of eleven, she started a dancing school in New Plymouth, later going to Miss Cecil Hall’s dancing academy in Auckland. Recently she visited Air. Joe Knowsley’s 'premier dancing school in Wellington for further tuition. Through perseverance she lias been able, to produce some very fine dance displays, this season’s work eelipsjng all previous performances. It has always been Miss Riley's ambition to return to her home town with her pupils, and this will be fulfilled on November 4, when she intends to give the bright display of Cinderella pantomime. which received suc-h a great motion from the public of New Plymouth two weeks ago.
