Tlve .honour of wearing the. Amber and Black jersey in games contested by the Taranaki A representatives of 3930 is shared by 30 players. Only one, A. A. Cfuy, the Tukapa wing-forwanl of this season, who previously played for the Haivvera, Kaponga. and Okaiawa Clubs, appeared in all of the eleven games with this year’s reps. The Stratford forward, J. Walter, who owing to an injury received early in the season was not available for the first two games, captained the team in each of the nine following engagements, while, for the first two games the Taranaki side was led by the veterasn, P. Ward, of Clifton, who donned the jersey for those two games only. Five of the 30 players were making initial appearances in the provincial A side, these being N. Hunter (a B rep. of last year) C. Gudgeon, J. Richards, D. Mace and I). Murphy. The remainder had all played in the first fifteen during one or more previous seasons.

HOW THE POINTS CAME A. COLLINS HEADS THE LIST. The Stratford full-back A. Collins, who. did not take the last line in the A ion. team until the fifth game of the year this season, played in each from then on and took top place on the. score hoard with 30 points, all

scored off his boot. Next came the ex-AU Black H. W. Brown (Old Boys) with 28 points. 19 of which were the result of goal kicks. Third place on the table was taken by Iv. Fookes, who was the most successful try-getter and scored 21 points through that medium.

THREE SCORERS IN B GAME'S. Three players contributed to the 21 points registered by the ji representatives in their two games against Wanganui. The most successful unit was the Tukapa player. O. Evans, who scored nine points with three tries in the first game. In the same engagement I. Crawford (Old Boys) scored six points with two penalty .•goals and the remaining sis points were registered by J. S'. Medley (Tukapa) with two tries in the second game.
