EIGHT VICTORIES LISTED A AND B SIDES. Defeated! only' by the British touring team and by the Wellington Union, whose A side achieved victory in all of its nine engagements with the, exception of a draw Avith Hawke’s- Bay', the Taira naki Bugby A representatives- of 1930 established a meritorious- performance. The record shows- that, seven games were won by Taranaki A and one was dratvn, Av-liile three- were lost. The British team accounted for one reverse and Wellington for the other two. In each of the latter the present holders of the Banfurly Shield were .fully extended, particularly in- the final game, which was described by the- Wellington Press as the best inter-provincial game seen in the capital city during the season.
Though last- season the Taranaki B representatives contested five games, four of Avhieh were Avon, only- two- engagements wore listed with, teams from outside the provinee this year. Both were Avith the B side of the Wanganui Union and the result, left honours easy, victory in the first- game- being achieved by" the Wanganui team which, hr.AveA'er. had to -cede the honours to Taranaki in' the return match.
