A number of Conservative members of the House of Commons are requisitioning Mr. Baldwin to summon a meeting to discuss the policy of the party. Cabinet for three hours _ discussed the programme for the session, which opens on Tuesday, and settled the contents of the King’s Speech. . . The “Daily Telegraph’s” political editor understands that the speech will contain no surprises. The most provocative measure will be a Bill to amend the Trade Disputes Act in order to revive the compulsory political levy.
