BULLI SOIL AND INJURIES
A STATEMENT REFUTED. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copynghcj. Received 12.30 p.m. to-day. SYDNEY, Oct. 24. The Agricultural Department’s chief chemist, commenting on the cabled statement yesterday of Mr. James Baxter. manager of the British Rugby team, declares that there are no poisonous properties in Bulli soil, which is no different from any other. Its value as a top-dressing lay in its physical properties.
Mr. Baxter said that the presence of Bulli soil, containing poisonous constituents. caused the Britishers a lot of trouble and injuries in their Australian matches.
