| OPENING OF SEASON. The greens were in ideal condition for the opening of the Paten Bowling Club's season mu Wednesday, when a large number of visitors front Wanganui and Hawera were present. Air P. Bourke extended a welcome to the visitors and declared the season, Mrs Bourke throwing down the first jack. Mr George Williams, isenr., presented the club on behalf of Air joint Gibson, Wellington with a photograph of the opening day ceremony in 1597.
