BOWLING.
HAWERA v. NEW PLYMOUTH. The following will represent the Hawera Bowling Club in its annual match against New Plymouth on the Hawera green to-morrow (Saturday) at 2 p.m.: Saunders, McDonald, A. Wills, Foy; Bardsley, Dillon, Winks, Hicks; Dale, Campbell, Hodge, Squire; Herbert, Shaw, Clarke, Rcnwick; Hobbs, Dahl, Adamson, Stone; Champion, Tidswell, Hamilton, Corkill; Edwards, Burgess, Potter, Maslin.
LABOUR DAY. On Labour Day the Hawera Club will hold a day rink tournament, for which ten rinks have entered. Play will commence at 9 a.m. sharp. Six games consisting of 11 heads will be played, and a very enjoyable holiday’s bowling is looked forward to.
The Park Club will be holding its an mini pairs tournament on Labour .Day Entries are filling up rapidly.
