LAWBREAKERS PUNISHED
SENTENCES AT DUNEDIN

DUNEDIN, Sept. 17. Prisoners were sentenced by MiJustice Kennedy. A youth, 21 years of age, whose name was suppressed, was ordered to come up for sentence if called on within two years for a false declaration under the Marriage Act. A statement showed there was no real motive for the false declaration since the parents of both parties were agreeable to the marriage. Albert Harris and Walter Clark, for breaking, entering and theft, each received 18 months’ hard labour.
Arthur Edwin Allpress aged 18, on six charges of breaking, entering .and theft, received two and a-half years’ Borstal detention.
