(By Telegraph —Press Association.) AUCKLAND, -Sept. 12. A sequal to the demonstration against the Prime Minister, the Hon. G. IV. Forbes, as lie, was leaving Auckland was heard in the Police Court to-day when three men, Philip Gordon Brazier, George Rudd and William Murphy were charged wtih disorderly behaviour. A constable who was on wharf duty said that as Mr. Forbes was being fa,rewelled in the wharf shed witness saw a large crowd walking toward the gangwav headed by the, three defendants. Murphy was carrying a banner inscribed! “One big union of unemployed and! casual workers.” Murphy mounted a. box and started to address the crowd who rushed the barrier. Budd, Murphy and Brazier were then ejected, whereupon Murphy began to make a speech. He desisted" when it was pointed out he was, breaking the by-laws. Murphy told witness that others in the crowd had not the pluck to rush the barrier. Someone called for three hoots for Mr. Forbes and the crowd booed loudly. Brazier had said he was willing to pull Air. Forbes off the Aorangi if others were. . Detective Holder said that one or the three suggested! to the crowd they should interview the Aorangi’s crew and try to stop the ship. All three, were member,s, of the Communist Party. _ Brazier in a statement, _ denied inciting the crowd. He said that lie, realising unemployment was rife, in Auckland 1 , wanted to, see, Mr. Forbes. The magistrate said lie would convict defendants, hut not punish, them. “Your are entitled to hold a meeting in public, but not on the wharf when a ship is sailing,” he said. “It is a dangerous place t demonstrate and is Mtely to lead to trouble or even riot.” 'Defendants were ordered to appear for sentence if called upon.
