WELLINGTON, Sept, 11. Tlie election of officers of the Technical Education Association to-day resulted as follows: President, Mr J. H. Reed (Invercargill); vice-president, Air McGregor AATight (Christchurch); executive, Alessrs H. S. AV. King (Auckland), AV. M. Luxford (AA’anganu.i) and H. Trimble (Stratford); bon. secretary and treasurer, Mr C". A. Stewart (In vereargi 11). Many remits were passed by the association to-day, including the following :
That a school leaving .certificate take the place of the university entrance examination. That British text hooks and equipment he used ill preference to foreign. That the superintendent of technical education periodically travel through Britain, Europe and America. A deputation will place the remits before the Minister of Education tomorrow.
