LIQUOR AFTER HOURS
SEQUEL TO LOUNGE SUPPER.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 11. As a sequel to a late supper held by hookey players in the Oriental Lounge, Manchester Street, on a recent Saturday evening, the proprietress, Mary Vincent, a vice-president of the Temperance Union, was charged with allowing; liquor to ho consumed in the restaurant after hours. Defendant was fined 20s and costs. The* magistrate said she probably was ignorant of the law.
