THE ARAPUNI BREAKDOWN
EXPERT’S REPORT AWAITED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 10. Nothing is being isaid about the Arapuni breakdown by the Minister of Public Works (Hon. W. B. Taverner) until the report of Professor Homell, the Swedish expert, has been received bv the Government.
The Minister explained that his visit to Arapuni at the week-end w.as made purely as a result of an arrangement with Professor Homed that he should visit Arapuni and discuss various points with the professor “on the spot.” The Minister made it clear that he could not anticipate the report the professor would later make, and was also unable to say when the expert’s report would he submitted, although he indicated that it would he preferable to have the report before the session of Parliament ended.
