GISBORNE SEES SNOW
BIG FALL IN BACK COUNTRY.

GISBORNE, Sept. 10
The district’s worst snowstorm since .IPO6 swept the back country early this morning, with a light fall on the flats and in town. This is the first occasion on which snow has fallen in the town for 20 years. In the high couii.ry snow is lying ten inches deep in some parts and concern is felt for the safety of flocks.
