DANCING AND INSTRUMENTAL

TO-DAY’S RECALLS.

The commendable promptitude of both officially anti contestants which has been a marked, feature in the presentation of the still uncompleted l programme oi competitive items at ulie Opera House and) Presbyterian Hall was again m evidence to-day. There was a large attendance at the Opera House during the morning session and public support perceptibly jiHiea-e-! in the afternoon in anticipation of the juvenile dancing items. Xu these r> splendid exhibition was submitted, reflecting the highest credit_ on the lightfooted contenders and their tutors.

A special feature of to-day's programme was the wind-wood instrument solo contested by nine youths under J> year sof age, each of whom revealed remarkable aptitude with the most favoured instruments —flute and clarinet.
