He was transferred ashore in a ponce boat and was greeted by a throng of 10,000. JL Von Gronau, interviewed on. shore, Laid it was not likely that he would fly back, because of difficulties in getting fuel in the Arctic region. He added that the flight had not yet given sufficient indication of the feasibility of a. northern air route between America and Europe.
