TRIP ACROSS CANADA. ENTHUSIASTIC RECEPTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 26. In a letter to Air Amos, written three weeks prior to the opening of the Empire Carnes, Air* Hobbs, manager of the New Zealand l team, gives interesting details of the trip across Canada. They travelled with the Australian team and everywhere , both were welcomed with enthusiasm. They did not go out rowing at Vancouver, as Ayers and Brough thought one row in ,*vforeign boat would not do any good. On arrival at Toronto they were met by All* Collins. New Zealand Trade Commissioner, and Professor Louden, president of the Canadian Amateur Athletics’ Association, and at Hamilton by Air Robinson, one of the priniopal offoials of the Empire Games and representing the New Zealand A.A.A. in Canada..
