COMPANIES) TO PAY SHARE. PRICE REDUCTION LIKELY. (By Telegraph—Special to "The Star.”) WELLINGTON, Aug. 25. Petrol importing companies have notified the Government that they propose to continue carrying one penny of the additional petrol duty. Since Parliament reduced the duty by one penny the retail price has remained unchanged, which meant that the consumer was carrying the full increased duty. However, the companies’ latest decision should mean a 1 uriher reduction in the retail price.
