GRAND THEATRE. HAWERA. TO-NIGHT. “THE FORBIDDEN WOMAN.” To-night at the Grand Theatre, Hawera, the British Film service will present its new star, Jetta Goudal, in “The Forbidden Woman,” a highly dramatic story of intrigue on the desert Moroccan waste. It is a story vibrant with thrill, emotion and tense appeal. There will be an excellent supporting programme in support, which includes' Bathe News, Review and Cartoon. “The Forbidden Woman” is considered one of the finest productions of the current season. TOWN HALL, PATEA. PICTURE CARNIVAL DANCE. Lcnore Ulric, as the madcap French lass of the tropics in “South Sea Rose,” her second Fox Movietone picture, will be the featured attraction at the Town Hall, Patea, on Tuesday, when a picture carnival dance will be held. “South Sea Rose,” directed by Allan Dwan, is a comedy drama of conflict and bigotry centring around the reckless romancing of a tom-boy girl and her adventures wiru a. crew of wayfarers. Charles Bickford plays opposite the star and other players include Kenneth Mac Kenna, Elizabeth Patterson, Farrell Macdonald and Tom Pa tricola. Gilmore’s Orchestra will play the music for the dance, which will commence at the conclusion of the picture.
