LIFE HISTORY OF TROUT. (By Teiegrapfc—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 19. The New Zealand Fresh Water Fisheries Research Committee met to-day. Professor Percival presented a report of the progress of the work, and stated that Air A . W. Parrott, biologist to the committee, was continuing his study of the life his tov of the trout. Tt was decided' to (postpone until Maxell of next year the appointment of a biologist to replace Captain Phillips, whose three wears’ appointment with 'the Wellington Acclimatisation Society was expired. Tt. was decided to' start tagging operations among trout on a large scale next summer.
