MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS. (By Telegraph—Press Association ) WELLINGTON, Aug. G. Mr H. M. Rushworth presented in the House of Representatives to-day a petition bearing over 700 signatures praying for the removal of duties on cereal and vegetable stock foods. Mr H. G. Dickie gave notice of his intention to introduce the .Paten. Borough Empowering Bill.

Mr .1. S. Fletcher asked Hon. P. A. de la Perrclle whether he would order the withdrawal of the picture “Anna Christie” from screening at a Wellington theatre until it had been subjected to review by the censor.
