WOMEN’S AUXILIARY EFFORT, SUBSTANTIAL RESULT. The sale of work opened yesterday afternoon as a special effort by the Women’s Auxiliary of the Methodist Church in Ha were was continued m the evening at the Wesley Hall, when there was an excellent attendance and good business was clone in all sections or the sale. ICeen interest was taken oy a-1 present, the object of the function enlisting hearty support. . The evening’s programme comprised vocal solos by Mrs. Hartmann and Mr. E H. Piper, a, violin -solo by Louis Fox, and a recitation by Mrs. Leyman, while an interesting* competition i\as arranged by Mr. E>. J. Yearbury. A bran-tub run under the direction of Mrs. Barron was very popular and caused much fun and amusement among the juveniles. The amount taken during tliei evening was very satisfactory and will help the mission fund materially.
