SNOW ON MAIN TRUNK
EXPRESS HELD UP. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 29. For the first time in its history the Main Trunk Limited express was hold up by snow this morning between Taihape and Raurimu. Over two feet of snow was on the line and the express had to move backward and forward several times to clear some of the snow before leaving Horopito. Passengers from Tongariro to the National Park were unable to connect with the ordinary express last night on account of snow.
