BANDITS SHOT
MACHINE-GUN IN DANCE HALL. MUCH BOOTY SECURED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright). NEW YORK, July 27. Two bandits were shot dead by Tony Sodo, roadhouse proprietor, in a Cb.K cnigo suburb. Three robbers suddenly entered the dance hall. One covered the dancers with a machine-gun, while two stripped men and women of cash and jewels. Unobserved, Sodo slipped outside, where he kept a s awn-off shot-gun lor such, an emergency. When the. .robbers left, hastily they met a withering broadside. Two were killed, blit, the third cuoropod .wounded, and left the entire booty, which was distributed among: no merrymakers. After the excitement had subsided the dance proceeded.
