ACCIDENT ON WAIHI ROAD
LIGHT CAR BADLY DAMAGED. .Practically the whole of the righthand side or a. light model car was torn out in a collision with a heavy motor lorry on the Waihi Road! 'shortly after 10 o’clock mst evening. Beyond! shock and slight cuts About the face from broken glass neither the driver, Mr J. P. Attriil, nor a passenger, Mr J. Free, ■both of Kaponga, were injured. Mr Attriil was driving towards Normandy, and the lorry was proceeding in the direction of Hawera, the collision occurring a. few drains, beyond the racecourse. Tlie oar wias struck on the driver’s side and the force of the impact threw one of the doors some yards behind the car. The lorry was damaged only to the extent of a rear wheel.
