FETE AT OPUNAKE
WEDNESDAY NEXT With a view to augmenting the funds of the Opuiiake Seaside So-ciet'y, the committee has organised a grand fete at the beach on Wednesday and has arranged a programme that should be much enjoyed by visitors. There will be surfing at any time of the day, while for the young people there will be races, treasure hunt, musical motor chairs, and other attractions. A new game, saekball, will be introduced, and it is certain to cause heaps of fun and interest. In addition there will be Staig’s carnival attractions, while the Federal Brass Band will give a series of selections. In the evening there will be a grand dance in th e pavilion. The president (<Mr T. :S. Hickey) and the lion, secretary (Mr T. B. Fouhy) are organising with the committee to see that the day is one of the events of the year.
