CROQUET CLUB’S Y EAR

The annual meeting of the Okaiawa Croquet Club was held in the hall on Wednesday afternoon, the president (Mrs. E. G. Betts) presiding over an

Ward reached the finals in the 15 grade, and .Airs. J. Johnstone was success!ul in winning the C grade. Airs. Ward was also successful in winning the open : singles in the B grade tournament held : in Hawera at the- end of the season. ■ The patron (Air, J. E. Alettli) donated i a trophy which tvas competed for in i handicaps. Airs. W. Williams being the | winner. Airs. J. Johnston presented I the club with a gold button, to be played for weekly on breaks, and finally to go to the player who won it most times during the season. This was won by Alr.s. Penny.
