Wireless to “New York Times.’ Received 11 a.m. to-day. BAY OF WHALES, Sept. 4, Although the sun is getting 'higher above the horizon every clay, that does not mean that the weather is warmer. As a. matter of fact, 60 below is not uncommon with us. To-day is calm and clear and there is hardly a cloud in the sky. The sun is shining brilliantly several degrees above the horizon. but a temperature of 48 degrees l>s-low zero is very unpie-instant when facing the almost imperceptible breeze. Work is proceeding indoors all the time,, however. The aeroplane crews are getting material ready lor the overhaul of the nlanes just as early as possible, hut we are thankful for the sun, even though at present it ha® brought colder weather. In a few more weeks the thermometer will begin to go down in earnest.
