At the inquest to-day the coroner returned a verdict of death as the result of injuries received in a collision between, the deceased, Hcrmont Archibald Kiernan, aged 31, who- was riding a bicycle, and a motor car driven by J. F. Donovan. The accident occurred on the night of August 14 in Petone, the deceased receiving a fracture of the base of the skull.
