FACTORY IMPROVEMENT.
Since the ending of last dairying season, extensive alterations have been carried out at the Meremere Dairy Factory, Ohangai. Both directors and shareholders of the company realised that the old curing and packing room had served its term of usefulness, and it was decided to commence a progressive building -policy, with the- result that to-day where the old room stood is an uproodate new concrete curing and packing room with a disconnecting room.
The manager’s office has taken lup part of this room, while on the other side are large- cupboards to hold the general factory supplies. The room presents a ■ fine appearance and is a credit to Mr. A. Brown, builder of Hawera.
EUCHRE TOURNEYS CONCLUDED
The final euchre party was held in the hall lust Friday night when a good crowd was present. The evening’s euchre was won by Mrs. J. Trilford after a play-off with Mrs." H. Frahm, Miss D. Radford and Miss L. Elmes, the men’s prize being won by Mr. Elmes after a play off with Mr. H. Elmes.
The points prize for the season was won by Miss F. Eilmes, All's. -N. \\ . Lee being runner-up. Mr. Hinga won the -men’is with Air. J. Trilford as nmner-up. The trophies were presented at the children’s fancy dress ball last evening by the chairman of the hall committee, Air. N. Lee.
