THEFT CHARGES.

EiLiTHAM YOUTHS AT COURT. James Mullally, Samuel Patrick White, and 1 Leonard Michael White, the three Eltliam youths who were dealt with at the last session of the .■supreme Court at New Plymouth, again appeared before Mr. B. \\ . Tate, S.M., at the Eltliam Magistrate's Court on Tuesday to answer further charges of theft Tile charges against Mullally were: Theft, in or aoout May, 1928, of one pair of bridle reins, one’ head bridle, one machine-gun strap, two head ropes and one brush, or a total value of Cl 15s 3d. the property of the New /lealand Lierence Department. Theft, in or about March, 1929, of a bridle bit. valued at 10s (id, the property of the Moore Hunter estate. Theft, in March, 1929, of 71 yards of cheese bandage, valued at £1 (is 9d, the property ot the Hawera Dairy i Factory Company. Theft, in or about Febzruary. 1929. of a pair of horse aiiKle boots, valued at 30s. the property of O. Cox. Theft, in or about April, 1929. of a. lead bag and head stall, valued at LI os, the property of .John .Joseph Cahill. Theft, in or about March, 1929. ol a roller anil a trotting strap, valued at L2. the property of A. E Adams. The accused, for whom Mr. A. Cli rystal appeared, pleaded guilty to the foregoing charges, on all of which lie was convicted and discharged. Further charges against Mullally were : Theft, on May 31, 1929, of a whip, 1 valued at os, the property of Jacob| Fryer. On the understanding that the I whip be returned to the owner this I charge was withdrawn. Tlielt. in or about February, 1929. of a ‘leather head-stall, the property of some person or persons unknown. Ibis charge was withdrawn. Theft, in or about February. 1929, of a martingale, valued at 13s, the property of Lancelot Goodger. This charge was adjourned sine die. 1 The whole of the thefts occurred at| Hawera

Samuel Patrick White and Leonard Michael White were jointly charged with the theft, on or about July (5, 1929. at Eltlmm, of one box of safety razor blades, valued at £] 12s fid, the property of some person or persons unknown. Samuel I’. White was further charged with, on July (i. 1929. at Kltham, resisting a police officer (Arnold .Bell Meiklejohn) in the execution of his duty.
