I General Lord Horne collapsed iind died while shooting with a party on his moor at Stirkoke, Caitlmesshire, states a London cable message. It is recalled that General Lord Horne was engaged in the war from the beginning to the end. He participated in the retreat from Mods, also in the last grand assault. He accompanied Lord Kitchener to Gallipoli in Did. He introduced what is known as “the creeping barrage.” He leaves a daughter, but no son.
