The annual ball of Llie Eltluun Jlugb.y football Club drew an attendance of 4(K) dancers to the Eiltham Town Hall last evening and a well-balanced programme proved replete with enjoyment to all participants, the function being one of the outstanding social events of the season throughout the Eltham district. The club colours, black and white, were effectively used in a scheme of decorations in the large hall, while the supper-room and tables were tastefully adorned with the colours of the Kangitikei and Taranaki teams, green and amber and black respectively. Rhythm for the dancers was set by Sait's orchestra, and Messrs T. Attrill; R. Lee Sloeombe, and Gower olficinted as Masters ol Ceremonies. Members of the Kangitikei representative team which played at Elth-j am during the afternoon and the Taranaki 15 representatives were present as the guests of the club and were welcomed by the president, .Mr. H. L. Kasper, who also expressed the thanks of the club to all who had given support to the function and the workers who bad assisted in making the arrangements, Mr. Kasper referring in terms of particular praise to the 1 Indies’ committee who bad arranged the decorations and the supper. Club trophies awarded during the season were presented to the winners by Mr. Kasper, who extended suitable congratulations and also voiced thanks to the donors of trophies. These, with the winners, were as follow:* Most improved senior (cup donated by Mr. -I. Petrie). —B. Rourke. Most improved junior (medal donated by the president).—F. Boooek. Most improved third (medal donated lay Mr. A. 0. Casey).—E. Paton.
