TARANAKI THIRDS. PROVINCIAL SE^I-FINAL. In the semi-final game of the Tarauaki third grade 11-ugbv ch ampio ns 1 lip the A nimate fifteen and the Stratford Technical High School representatives in the grade provided an attractive curtain-raiser to the B representative game at Eltham yesterday. The Waimate boys, though holding the advantage in weight, were handicapped bv , lack of recent practice, five weeks having elapsed since in the. southern competition they had last played as a team. On the day they were overshadowed by the superior combination of the school boys, who won by 24 points (five tries, three converted, and a penalty goal) to a penalty goal. Pastier finished with a 15'yards dash to seoro. No goal resulted.
