WESTFIELD STOCK MARKET. (By lelegrapn —Press Association.; AUCKLAND, Aug. 11. - At the Westland sale o-f stock -to.-day -s' ox beef was penned in average numbers, quality being first-class. petition was -good and last week’s was fully sustained. A consignment of i extra heavy prime bullocks from ManuI watu realised £l6 os ,to £23, a line of 30 bullocks averaging £l9 6s Sd. Heavy bullocks made £l6 5s to £lB 17s fid and lighter £l3 .to £l6. Cow and heifer beef also came forward in average numbers, for which competition -was very brisk and a further rise in values t-qok place. Extra prime heavy cows and heifers made £l2 12s fid to £l4 15s, medium £lO 12s Rd to £l2 10s, and 'light and unfinished £7 .to £9 10s. Extra heavy heifers from the Waikato made £l4 ss. Extra choice ox sold to 1 44s per 1001 b, choice and prime 41s to 435, secondary and plain 33s to 355. Prime young cow and heifer beef was worth 42s and just killaible 36s to 3Ss. • An average yarding of fat sheep came forward, quality being good. Competition was good -aind a rise in values was recorded. Extra heavy prime wethers made 41s to 44s 9d, medium 37s 9d to 40s 9d and light 33-s 9d to 345. Prime ewes made 34s to 37s 3d, medium 32s 9d to 345. An average yarding of lambs was sold at well up to late rates, -heavy prime lambs making 31s .fid, medium 28s .6d, and light 235. Pigs, yarded in moderate numbers, produced keen competition. Choppers made £2 15-s; .bacon'ers, £4 10s to £4 16s; medium, £4 to £4 8s; light, £2 10s to £4; heavy -porkers, £3 to £3 8s; medium, £2 10s to £2 ISs; -light, £2 4s to £2 Ss.
