Addressing the Chamber of Commerce, Mr Herbert Brookes, the Australian Comniiissiioner-Geiiqi’a! in the United States, criticised the legislation which tended to hunt trade relations between the two Commonwealths. “Australia- is getting a bad deal, so bad that it cannot continue. It- seems to me that American business men should .concern themselves with this condition of tirade, and 1 have found they are doing so on the Pacific- Coast.”
