An inter-Empire trade conference us a. means of starting a drive by manufacturers to co-operate and consolidate trailing efforts to meet foreign invasion was urged by the Hon. Frank Carroill, member of the Quebec Legislative Council, before the Board of Trade last night.
Air Carroll suggested subjects for discussion at the conference isfiould be the removal of irritating barriers now retarding trade within the Emipre, creating a better understanding within the Dominions on eooonrc buying within the Ivm ri.re through education! propaganda in ail industrial centres of the Elmpi re, and the promotion of a dative to adopt or improve upon modern methods of lowering manufacturing costs. aided by advertising and salesmanship.
