The quality was good and competition was steady, resulting in values .hardening on last week’s quotations. Prime heavy bullocks made £l4 17s Gd to £ls 10s, medium £.lO 7s Gd to £l4 7s Gd and light £ll 17s Gd to £l2 17s Gd. Cow and heifer beef came forward in average numbers, the quality being first-class. Competition was steady and values remained linn at last week's 1 rates. Extra prime heavy heifers and young cows made £lO to £ll 17s Gd. medium cows and heifers £S 10s to £0 5s and light £7 to £B. ! Extra choice ox sold to 38s per 1001 b, I choice and prime ox 35s to 375, plain) and secondary ox 31s to 345, prime) young cow and heifer beef 34s justj kill able 2Ss to 30s. j A very heavy yarding of sheep was) penned and a drop in values was re-, corded equal to the recent drop in the] price for skins. Taken throughout the quality was first-class and competition was good. Prime heavy wethers madel £1 17s 3d to £1 18s, medium £1 15s Gd to £1 17s, light £1 11s 6d to £1 12s 9d, land ewes £1 5s to £1 7s 3d. An average yarding of lambs sold well up to late rates. Pigs were yarded in smaller numbers and met with a keen sale, especially for good quality porkers. Choppers made to £3 Gs. heavy baeoners £3 IGs to £4, medium baeoners £3 10s to £3 15s, light: baeoners £3 5s to £3 Ss, heavy porkers £2 10s to £2 17s and light porkers £1 14s to £2 Ss.
