PATEA COURT.
TO-DAY’S SITTING. SHORT CIVIL LIST. A short sitting of the Magistrate’s Court- at Patea was held this morning, Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., presiding. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given on a claim for £2O 12s 4d preferred by Gibsons Ltd. against E. Treweek. In judgment summons proceedings A. Burrows was ordered to pay £5 7s lid forthwith to J. and A. Guy and 15s Gel solicitor’s fee, in default five days’ imprisonment; and A. Partridge was ordered to pay £22 4s forthwith to W. Monies and £1 11s 6d solicitor’s fee, in default 22 days’ imprisonment. An application for a land agent’s license presented by William Frero Sheild, of Patea, was granted. Mr R. C. Rutherford appeared for the applicant.
