PROVINCIAL PLAY=OFF. OLD BOYS TO MEET NEW PLYMOUTH. The result of the filial match. __ in North Taranaki oil Saturday made New Plymouth the premier team in the north, and consequently they will be the opponents ox Jtiawera Old Boys team, the champions of the south, and the match will probably be field next Saturday. IN NORTH TARANAKI. FINAL FOR PREMIERSHIP. The concluding match of the senior championship competition in North Taranaki was played on Saturday, when in a low scoring match New Plymouth beat Old Boys (New Plymouth) by 11 runs. The winners scored 103 and the losers 92. The only batsmen to reach double figures for the former were Kingstone 21, Hunt 19, C. 0. Clarke lb, and Griffin 12, while extras contributed a useful IG. Eggleton made nearly half of the Old Boys’ runs, playing a fine innings for 35, and lie was assisted ably by L. Petty 19 and Brown 14, the remaining batsmen putting on only 18 runs. C. G. Clarke was in fine form, getting six wickets at a cost of five runs each, and lie was well backed by Nasmith with four for 2b. For Old Roys, L.
