SIR CHARLES SKERRETT.
FUNERAL IN ENGLAND. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) Received 10.20 a.m. to-day. LONDON, March 20. TVith the coffin before the high altar, requiem mass was'celebrated at' Westminster Cathedral for Sir Charles Skerrett. The chief mourners were his .sisters, Mrs Cbmpton. Miss Julia and Miss Mary Skerrett. Those present included Sir James Parr, Sir William Holdswo-rth, Lord Strathsprey, Lady Augustus Inskep, Lord Trevor, Viscount Falkland, Mrs Amery, and Colonel Desa-tge representing the Dominions office. The pall bearers were Sir James Parr, Lord Strathsprey, AllCecil Wray, Mr James Conchie, Mr Peter Coinptou and Air H. Y. Butler. The interment wa-s at Ken sal Green. Wreaths received included those from the New Zealand Government and people the law -societies of New Zealand, England. 'Wellington, and Taranaki, and the Union Steamship Company. The coffin was covered with the New Zealand flag from the steamer Port Denison .
