TO SAVE HER SON.
WOMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. (By Telegraph —Presa Association.) WAIROA, Feb. 27. A sliockino- accident occurred near the saleyardb” shortly after five o’clock to-ni"ht when the intant son or iVlr, R. Munro, a Public Works employee, wandered on to the railway line m front of his home. The mother, seeing a train approaching, rushed out but was too late to save the child being seriously injured. The boy’s arm was run over and severed and the mother was knocked over. They were taken toi hospital and the condition of 'both is critical. MOTHER DIES OF INJURIES. WAIRIOA, Feb. 28. Mrs. Munro died last night on arrival at the hospital. The child .lost his left arm and is suffering Horn shock but he is expected to recover.
